Lost track of time writing & realized I was ravenous. A quick meal of mostly #localfood ingredients & things past-Lisa had been kind enough to freeze. Egg scramble with leftover bacon, roasted Brussels sprouts, onion, mushrooms, and cheese w/ a french baguette. Bread from @rose32bread Eggs from @hardwickfarmers Onion from @stilllifefarm Bacon from @chestnutfarm Cheese from @robinsonfarmcheese Brussels sprouts from us at #StarFieldFarm

Just another morning at #StarFieldFarm. . . Or it was until these two goobers managed to slip out the door when the National Grid guy came by to install the solar net meter. They led me in a merry chase through the snowy woods before I even had my coffee. And just look at them: no guilt at all!

We got a new-to-us used snowblower this fall that I had yet to work with. I’m at #StarFieldFarm where we got nearly 2′ of snow and while the plow folks did the access road and most of the driveway, there was still a ton of snow to move from in front of the garage bays. My infinitely patient (and at work 90 min away) spouse talked me through how to start and use it over the phone. And when I had problems getting it to drive, he helped me troubleshoot it. He didnt make fun of me or mock my lack of experience or knowledge. We’re partners and partners help one another.
