We got a new-to-us used snowblower this fall that I had yet to work with. I’m at #StarFieldFarm where we got nearly 2′ of snow and while the plow folks did the access road and most of the driveway, there was still a ton of snow to move from in front of the garage bays. My infinitely patient (and at work 90 min away) spouse talked me through how to start and use it over the phone. And when I had problems getting it to drive, he helped me troubleshoot it. He didnt make fun of me or mock my lack of experience or knowledge. We’re partners and partners help one another.

Present-Lisa is grateful that past-Lisa left an extra pair of snow pants, boots, and gloves here at #StarFieldFarm Never in my life did I anticipate wading through 2 feet of snow to get to our storage barn so I could rake snow off its roof. Hell, until recently, I never knew there was such a thing as a snow rake!

A montage of images from this morning at #StarFieldFarm I’m not sure we’ve seen so much snow from a single storm here before. It’s hushed outside. The birds are calling from the laden trees. Plumes of white swirl in the wind. And the snow is still coming down.
